In the first inning, the starting lineups for both teams were identical. No runs were scored despite getting the leadoff hitter on second base in both cases. After then, a pitcher’s duel raged for most of the game, with Texas threatening in the fifth inning. With one out, the Longhorns softball team loaded the bases. Amid a tense situation, Delce delivered, striking out Mia Scott and getting Bella Dayton to ground out.

At the end of the inning, the team Razorbacks paid the Horned Frogs for their carelessness. Hannah McEwen’s second hit of the day was a leadoff double to right center. Intentional walks to Danielle Gibson and Taylor Ellsworth put runners on the corners with one out for the Hogs.
